iStopMotion, the stop motion animation app for iPhone iPad, has been updated to version 2.0 and brings full audio support in the clip editor, more import options, ability to view audio waveform, and more. iStopMotion has been a favorite app among stop motion animation enthusiasts for 10 years, and version 2.0 just makes this great app even better.
With iStopMotion 2.0, you can now record audio right inside the app either before capturing frames or after while watching the clips play back. You can also limit the soundbyte to the length of the current clip, monitor the audio signal coming into the iPad and preview the sound to ensure it's exactly how you want. You can use the iPhone or iPad's built-in microphone or any microphone or sound input device that is compatible with your device.
iStopMotion 2.0 also now allows you to pull in music from your iPhone or iPad's music library, Dropbox, SoundCloud, or copy audio files prepared on a computer via iTunes File Sharing. Imported audio files will automatically be stored in iStopMotion's audio library for future use.
There is also a new Navigator featured in iStopMotion 2.0 in addition to the classic Timeline that displays full animation from start to finish at a glance, including the sound track visualized as a waveform. Simply tap and drag the Navigator's slider to scrub through clips or quickly jump to specific scenes by tapping the desired section. If you want a larger workspace for animating, this Navigator can easily be hidden from view.
In addition to these new features, iStopMotion has also received improvements to Time Lapse and Remote Camera connectivity and stability.
In celebration of their 10 year anniversary, iStopMotion for iPhone and iPad is on sale for $4.99 each until December 28 (normally $9.99 each).
